Priyanka Chopra Awarded Doctorate Degree, She Could not Attend the Ceremony
The Only Female Bollywood actress who appeared in the list of Forbes Celebrity 100 list and being voted as the ‘Sexiest Asian Woman’ in the world, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, has been awarded a doctorate degree by the Bareilly International University on Sunday.
Despite having much excitement about to get the doctorate degree, Priyanka Chopra could not attend the ceremony, because her destiny had some other plans, and her flight has been delayed. While Expressing her nervousness and disappointment, Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter, “Weather Gods and Goddesses, please do your thing and clear the skies. I really need to get to Bareilly! Fog lock down. This can’t be happening” Priyanka was heartbroken as she couldn’t receive her doctorate in person ‘heartbroken’.
“I am heartbroken that I will not be able to attend the convocation ceremony and receive my honorary doctorate in person at the Bareilly International University today. We’ve been at the airport since this morning waiting for clearance from the ATC. My team had also explored all other possible options to get there but the fog has put to rest all plans for today.” Priyanka said in a statement.

Priyanka further added, “I was really looking forward to going back to Bareilly… not just to receive the honorary doctorate but also to see old friends and family and just reconnect with a city that has been such an important part of my life.”

She expressed her gratitude towards Bareilly International University, “I want to thank the University for being so understanding and amazing and I would like to wish every graduate all the very best as they set forth on a new journey. I will see you all again very soon.” Although Priyanka could not attend the ceremony, she is a holder of a doctorate today. Isn’t that cool?
