India captain Virat Kohli said he would not take any time to return to the cricket ground even though he had walked away from cricket for a few days. He was speaking at a press conference in Mumbai today before leaving for the Indian cricket team’s South Africa tour.

Virat said, “It is remarkable that we won all series played in year 2017 and still we are hungry for success.” Since last few days, the Indian team, which is playing in Asia, will be playing on different pitches after a long time. The discussion has been going on for several days since the Indian team will be under pressure for good performance.

When asked about the question, Virat said that we are not going to prove anyone anything. We are going to play cricket there and we believe that we will give hundred percent efforts for our country. To win abroad, it is necessary to play cricket for long periods. What we have not been able to do at the time of the past is to do it now, Virat said.

Virat Kohli had decided not to play in the one-day and T-20 match series  against Sri Lanka for his marriage. After the wedding, a reception was held in Delhi and Mumbai, in which many celebs of Indian film industry were present along with the former Indian cricketers. Virat Kohli will play 3 Tests, 6 ODIs and 3 T20 matches against South Africa. The tour will be between January 5, 2018 to 24 February 2018.
