Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has retained his memorable form. Rohit Sharma equaled the record for South Africa’s David Miller’s record of fastest century in international T20s on Friday. In addition, Rohit Sharma has been the only batsman to score the fastest T20 century in India. In the second T20 match against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma scored 118 runs in 43 balls.
He completed his century in only 35 balls. While Rohit was charging Sri Lankan bowlers, his wife Ritika was present in the dressing room. After completing the century, Rohit shared his selfies with Ritika on the Instagram. He has given a caption to the photo, ‘This is my lucky charm’.
Specially, when Rohit played a double hundred against Sri Lanka in the second one-day match, she was also present on that day. So, ultimately, this has been proved again and again that whenever Ritika comes to see the match, Rohit hits hard on field.
Rohit’s Lucky Charm
Rohit’s second century in T20 is his highest individual score. Earlier Rohit had scored his first century against South Africa in Dharamsala in October 2015. At the time, Rohit scored 106 runs. In addition, Rohit Sharma has been the only batsman of India to hit fastest century in the T20I. Lokesh Rahul had scored a century in 46 balls against West Indies on 27 August last year.
Rahul scored 89 runs in 49 balls with five fours and six sixes in the match against Sri Lanka. He missed his second century by 11 runs. South Africa’s David Miller had scored a century in 35 balls against Bangladesh on October 29 this year. David Miller broke the record of his team mate Levi. Levi had scored a century in 45 balls against New Zealand in 2012.
