Whatsapp users will now be able to back up their Whatsapp chats and media in google drive without exhausting google drive space. Whatsapp users will no longer be in danger of losing their data. Users previously used to store Whatsapp data on their smartphone’s local storage, which was always having a risk to lose data. Now, there will be no danger of data loss. Google and WhatsApp have come to an agreement according to which WhatsApp backups against Google Drive storage limit won’t be counted.

This move will benefit those who usually get loads of messages and multimedia files on WhatsApp. Google gives 15GB of free Drive storage when you sign up for an account. Users can also buy 100GB space for Rs 130 per month and 1TB for Rs 650 per month. But according to the agreement, you do not have to pay any extra charge to back up WhatsApp on Google Drive. Whatsapp users will get this feature by November 12, 2018. However, any WhatsApp backup that has not been updated since one year will automatically be deleted from storage.

To back up Whatsapp on Google Drive, you can go to Whatsapp’s menu icon, then go to Chat and then tap on the chat backup option. Here you can select your Google Account, The account in which you want to back up Whatsapp. By following these easy steps, you can backup your Whatsapp to Google Drive easily.

While previously, Whatsapp has rolled out a much-awaited new feature i.e. Whatsapp group video calling, by the introduction of this feature you can make a group call with up to four people total – anytime and anywhere. Just start a one-on-one voice or video call and tap the new “add participant” button in the top right corner to add more contacts to the call. Whatsapp has also limited its user to forward messages to only five people at a time.
